Thank you Lynn for the oppertunity to be involed, abeit on the perifery,as a scrutanier but I enjoyed the experience very much.
Sorry you were unable to get elected to council but the incombents have a real advantage.Since all of these, with the exception of Patricia Ross were in favour of the P3 project I was suprised that they did not loose more votes.Even with your personal disapointment I am sure you are delighted with the defeat of the P3 project.I was pleasantly surprised by the wide margin of the NO vote victory and I hope you will continue doing excellent work on behalf of Waterwatch to keep the presure on the “New Council” to consider every alternative to the Stave Lake project and the financing of same. For surely this New Council, which still has the majority of Yes proponents on it,will be force into more carefull consideration of the electrates wishes to say NO.
Take a short well earned rest Lynn,to charge your batteries so to speak, before getting back into doing what you do so well – trying to make Council listen to the people of Abbotsfoord.Cheers colin Ps Looks like I may have used too many words and you will not get the first part.

Thanks Colin and thank you for being so attentive as a scrutineer yesterday especially at the poll that had the voting machine problem.

  2. Wonderful victory for common sense, environmental consideration and public betterment! 3-P projects have never lived up to their touted benefits. Rich investors only want “profits” without ever investing a dime for adequate and effective maintenance and/or replacement of antequated equipment. They are never interested in spending enough money to hire qualified people to do the job properly. Time for a government BY the people FOR the people without wrecking the environment we all live in.
